US involved in color revolutions in Eastern Europe in times of decline – world news

In an interview with the secretariat of the 2nd International Conference on the Decline of the United States: The Post-American World, Polish politician and publicist Mateusz Piskorski shared his perspective on the decline of the United States.
Referring to the book The End of History by Francis Fukuyama who, along with other political scientists, tried to explain the idea that there is no alternative and that the United States is the only geopolitical force in the world, in all areas of public and human life, Piskorski focused on the decline of the United States in its Central and Eastern European policy.
âThis means that on the one hand, they were trying to impose their own views on geopolitics,â Piskorski said, adding: âOn the other hand, they were also trying to monopolize all other areas of life. Some Central European countries were forcing the American ideology of neoliberalism, especially in their social and economic life, and destroying all elements of collective identity, and moving towards the type of extreme individualism that was promoted by the United States to destroy the social structure of all these countries.
âNevertheless, there were still countries that were not under America’s control,â he added. âThere were basically two types of countries that weren’t under their control. The first type were very chaotic countries like Ukraine, which relied mainly on oligarchy. On the other hand, countries like Belarus which had chosen their own path of economic and social development and which did not accept the idea that there was no other alternative than the neoliberal globalist ideology promoted by United States. In both types of these countries we have seen color revolutions. “
“In fact, you also had such an experience in Iran,” he continued, “where they tried to organize a similar destabilization of your country. [after] the presidential elections a few years ago. They still do sometimes, by abusing electoral periods and conflicts between different candidates and by trying to recruit certain members of the local political elites for their own causes.
“Regarding what happened recently after the election of Joe Biden as the next president of the United States,” Piskorski stressed, “we understand that the United States is withdrawing from several regions that it has managed to destabilize before. , and it is not only the Afghanistan or Iraq, but also some post-Soviet countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Piskorski felt that a change in US strategy is necessary regarding the decline of US hegemony. He argued that they are no longer able to use the technologies, which have been very effective over the past decade. “So it is obvious that the United States is no longer able to keep and fund as protectors all over the world,” he asserted, adding: “They will probably try to focus on others. methods of destabilizing the internal situation in different countries like those in the Middle East or Central Asia. And probably what we saw in Belarus will also be used in other parts of the world; Not acting directly, but via agents.
“The decline of the United States is not a process that will last one or two years,” Piskorski added. âI think it will take a few more decades for the United States to leave the system of international relations. We are witnessing a multipolar world, which is emerging now. “
Piskorski said the United States is now indirectly involved in color revolutions and changing political realities in countries, especially in Eastern and Central Europe.
Regarding the change in strategy, he continued, âThe most important part of this new strategy will first be to use the proxies for each country that the United States tries to find among the neighbors of the country in crisis. economic ; those neighboring countries, which are interested in destabilizing the target country. The second point is that the United States’ proxies will have more sophisticated methods when it comes to social media and internet use during all of these protests and color revolutions. “
“That is why it is very important to find some kind of alternative and independent social media infrastructure,” Piskorski argued. âWe are now seeing that people are leaving American social media like Facebook, Twitter, etc., and using more independent platforms like Telegram, which is very widely used by different people and groups in the central and eastern parts of Europe, specifically. “
âThe idea of ââregime change,â he said, âis an idea used to threaten several leaders, even those who are still loyal to the United States, such as those involved in the Arab Spring. But on the other hand, you had the example of some leaders breaking loyalty to the United States, like Egypt. “
âIf you analyze history,â he continued, âalmost every falling empire has become more and more aggressive, just to avoid decline; just to slow down the decline and decay and degeneration. And the United States would now be impatient to try to destabilize the internal situation in the Far East and Southeast Asia. And, of course, it has to do with China and the rivalry between the United States and China.
“We can now see that the United States is also trying to use the pro-American politicians within the Chinese Communist Party for its own ends,” Piskorski said, “with the primary aim of weakening the interests of the group which is in power. So I think they will use the internal conflicts in different countries; it is not as expensive, by the way, as the color revolutions. They will try to find local allies, ready to put their own. money to destabilize their own country, and the United States will just give them the experience or maybe send them advisers.
âSome countries around the world are now in a kind of deep shock,â Piskorski concluded, âbecause they still don’t know what to do. [about the decline of the United States]. They still don’t know how to behave in a multipolar world. They received instructions from Washington. But the instructions no longer come as Washington is busy with other issues. So these countries are probably looking for a new idea in foreign policy because the old concept, based on the hegemony of the United States, is no longer valid. And we also see other countries that were once dominated by the United States, now trying to realize their own national interests and trying to turn to multidimensional, multi-level foreign policy.
