US President Joe Biden announced additional security assistance for Ukraine, which includes “additional artillery munitions, radars and other equipment”. Biden said in the statement that the United States has provided a “historic amount” of security assistance to Ukraine at a rapid pace. He said the United States had sent weapons and equipment that had been approved by Congress directly to the “front lines of freedom in Ukraine”. Biden said with today’s announcement, the US administration has nearly exhausted funding that could be used to provide security assistance to Ukraine. He stressed that the international community must continue to supply arms and military equipment to Ukraine without any interruption.

“Today, the United States continues its strong support for the brave people of Ukraine as they defend their country against continued Russian aggression. I am announcing another security assistance package that will provide ammunition to additional artillery, radar and other equipment to Ukraine,” Biden said in the statement.

“For Ukraine to succeed in this next phase of the war, its international partners, including the United States, must continue to demonstrate our unity and our determination to continue to bring arms and ammunition to Ukraine, without Congress should quickly provide the requested funding to strengthen Ukraine on the battlefield and at the negotiating table,” Joe Biden added in the statement.
