Other witnesses appear ready to testify against Donald Trump

The weight of evidence seems to be stacking firmly against the former US president donald trump in the investigation of the January 6, 2021 riot on Capitol Hill.
What happened: Following the testimony of the former collaborator of the White House Cassidy Hutchinsonother witnesses are expected to testify against Trump before a congressional committee investigating the insurgency, reported Boston Herald.
Member of the panel Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) reportedly said, “Every day we have new people who show up and say, ‘Hey, I didn’t think that part of the story that I knew was maybe important.’
“There will be a lot more information and stay tuned.”
The committee is also reportedly reviewing documentary footage covering Trump’s final months in office, which includes interviews with Trump and his family members.
In a separate interviewRepresentative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), also a committee member, said, “We are following up on additional leads. I believe these leads will lead to new testimonies,” according to the Herald.
Why is this important: Panel Investigating Jan. 6 Uprising Assigns White House Counsel Pat Cipollone and said he would also appreciate follow-up details from Secret Service members who were with the former president on the day of the riot, the Herald reported.
Last week, Hutchinson testified before Congress that Trump lunged at a member of the Secret Service and attempted to drive the presidential limousine to the Capitol himself on Jan. 6.
Committee Vice-Chair Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said over the weekend that criminal referrals — including against Trump — to the Justice Department could follow as it steps up its investigation into the Jan. 6 attack and the efforts of the former president to cancel the 2020 presidential election, according to the Herald.
