Home Depot, Lowe’s, Kohl’s stores open on Independence Day

Buyers wishing to take advantage of July 4th sales will find more stores open than during the holidays of last year.
Most large retailers are open on Sundays, with one exception: Wholesale Costco Clubs are closed as they are for many other holidays, including New Years Day, Easter, Independence Day and Labor Day. Lobby is also closed as is the case every Sunday.
Some grocery stores, including many Aldi stores, will have special holiday hours, and other retailers will operate with Sunday hours. Many pharmacies will be closed.
Since the federal holiday will be observed on Monday, the stock exchange is closed and most banks will not be open. The United States Postal Service will not deliver mail on Monday.

According to a recent survey by Numerator, a data and tech company, 68% of consumers expect to return to normal holiday celebrations this summer on or by July 4. The survey found that 38% have already normally celebrated a public holiday in 2021.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises adults and children not fully immunized to wear masks indoors and in crowded outdoor spaces. CDC changed mask guidelines for fully vaccinated people on May 13 and major retailers have started next day mask policies update.
Stores open on July 4th
Check with your store before you go as hours may vary and some stores will operate with reduced holiday hours. Click store names to find location specific information. Note that not all retailers update their websites regularly, so you may need to call.
